Joblatch Privacy & Content Policy
Joblatch Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates www.joblatch.com or app.joblatch.com (the "app"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect information from users, including Candidates (professionals) and Hiring Managers (recruiters). By using the Site, you consent to these practices.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Candidate Information
- Candidate Content:Journal entries, resumes, publications, supporting materials that could strengthen their career narrative.
- AI-analyzed metrics: Data points inferred by our AI e.g.industry skills across 250+ metrics)
- Account & Intent: info, email, preferences, jobs and companies they are interested or applying
❌ Do Not Upload Confidential Content. Your content may appear in AI answers to hiring managers. When in doubt, do not upload. You agree NOT to upload:
- Confidential, trade secret, or proprietary information from employers
- Source code, internal strategy docs, non-public financials
- NDA-protected materials or legally restricted content
1.2 Hiring Manager Information
Account info, company domain/email, Search queries,and interactions with the AI assistant.
1.3 Technical Information
- IP address, browser type, device info, usage analytics
2. How We Use Information
2.1 General Use
- Enable Hiring teams access to Candidate Content via links shared with them by the candidate
- We do not give them access to the journal or documents you upload but use the information to facilitate the "Interactive Resume" chat.
- Fraud prevention, legal compliance
2.2 AI Decision-Support (Human-in-the-Loop)
Joblatch is an AI-assisted decision-support tool. It is designed to provide hiring teams with deeper context beyond traditional resume keywords.
- No Automated Decisions: Our AI does not autonomously accept, reject, or rank candidates. All final hiring assessments and selection decisions are performed solely by human hiring managers.
- Feedback & Assistance: We use information to provide career feedback, optimize resumes, and facilitate the "Interactive Resume" chat.
- Provide AI career feedback and interactive resumes
- Improve AI models (aggregate/anonymized data only)
3. Sharing Information
3.1 Interactive Resume Links
When you share your Interactive Resume link, the recipient (Hiring teams) receives full access to query the AI assistant. The AI uses your complete journal and uploaded documents to answer their natural language questions. Hiring teams will have to sign up for an account with an email and login to access interactive resume link.
3.2 Service Providers
- Infrastructure: We use Amazon Web Services and other cloud providers for secure storage
- Data Aggregation: We use "Zero-Training" agreements with AI providers (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic). Your private data is NOT used to train their public foundational models.
4. Your Rights (U.S. State Laws)
Residents of California, Texas, Colorado, and other states have the right to:
- Right to Know & Delete: Access or delete your personal and AI-inferred data.
- Right to Opt-Out of Profiling: You may request that your profile not be processed by AI for hiring manager inquiries.
- Right to Human Review: You may request that a hiring manager review your static resume without AI assistance.
- Transparency: Access our 2025 AI Transparency Report (AB 2013) regarding our model training summaries.

California residents may request: access, deletion, opt-out of "sale" (we do not sell data). Email privacy@joblatch.com.
5. Data Retention
To comply with 2025 U.S. employment and AI regulations (including California FEHA mandates):
- Candidate Content:Retained Until account deletion + 30 days
- Interaction Logs: AI-facilitated chat logs and screening inquiries are retained for four (4) years from the date of the interaction to satisfy record-keeping requirements.
- Analytics: 24 months (aggregate)
6. Security
Your data is stored using industry-standard encryption. While we implement rigorous measures to protect your journal and documents, no system is 100% secure. We utilize data segregation to ensure your private information is never "leaked" to other users' AI queries.
7. International Note
Joblatch is currently intended for users within the United States. By using the site, you acknowledge that your data will be stored and processed on U.S.-based servers.
8. Children's Privacy
Site for users 18+. No knowing collection from children under 13.
